European Union Funding
Services to Business
Through the Innovation Relay Centre Scotland we offer advice to business looking to secure EU Framework funding to help in the development and demonstration of innovative technologies. Opportunities exist for SMEs, large companies, universities and research centres.
Services to the Public Sector
Securing European Union (EU) funding to support public sector projects is becoming an increasingly important source of revenue for the government. To do this effectively requires knowledge of the workings of the EU and national government along with strong programme management skills. Targeting Innovation has this knowledge.
We have secured EU funding for the following projects;
- Scottish Proposal Assistance Fund (SPAF)
- Innovation Relay Centre (IRC) Scotland
- Web Development Programme
- The Millennium Bug Programme
In addition we manage the delivery of EU projects and have therefore developed internal systems and processes to assist with the monitoring and reporting required by all EU projects.

secure FORCE
Targeting Innovation is a partner (and the sole UK representative) in a pan European project, set up to provide partnering opportunities and to offer potential participation in large scale EU funded research and development projects to small and medium sized companies (SMEs) operating in the security sector. The project (called Secure Force, which is part funded through the EU's Framework Programme) will operate across 14 European countries over the next three years.
The project's initial goal is to gather information on the expertise and areas of activity of small and medium sized companies operating in the security sector in order to establish a pan European database of around 3000 companies with security related technologies. Companies registering their expertise and interest on this database will be offered preferential opportunities to participate in major EU funded R & D projects in the security field which will be undertaken by the main global players in this market from 2007 onwards. In addition, companies on the database will be able to use it to make new research and commercial contacts with like minded SMEs.
In order to participate, the first step is to register company details and areas of expertise/interest with the project. This can be done by contacting Allison Chudleigh at Targeting Innovation by e-mail to achudleigh@targetinginnovation.com or on tel. no. 0141 572 1600.
